Use craft techniques to enhance the quality, style and impact of original compositions.
Indicators for this outcome
| (a) | Apply specific craft techniques from mentor texts to suit audience, genre and purpose (see Appendices D-H). |
| (b) | Apply descriptive techniques (e.g., sensory detail, figurative language, spatial or chronological structure, selective focus) to evoke emotion, create atmosphere or highlight significance (see Appendix D). |
| (c) | Apply narrative techniques (e.g., character and plot development, point of view, dialogue, flashbacks, setting, pacing) to immerse the audience and build narrative tension (see Appendix E). |
| (d) | Apply poetic techniques (e.g., line breaks, stanza structure, repetition, rhythm, figurative language, imagery, sound devices) to create tone, emotion and emphasis (see Appendix F). |
