(a)	Explore multiple ideas, forms and craft techniques through a variety of low-stakes composition processes (e.g., quick writes, spoken brainstorms, imitation writing).
(b)	Plan original written, oral, visual and multimodal compositions using strategies (e.g., brainstorming, mind-mapping, sketching, discussion or inquiry questions) to generate ideas, clarify purpose and consider audience.
(c)	Organize ideas intentionally during planning by selecting appropriate structures, modalities, and design elements suited to the intended genre (e.g., sensory details, narrative pacing, logical organization, figurative language), purpose (e.g., to entertain, to persuade) and audience.
(d)	Experiment with early drafts by using a variety of design processes (e.g., storyboard, speech annotations, Venn diagram) to test ideas, structures and genre techniques.
(e)	Revise original compositions meaningfully by reworking content, structure, form, style or mode based on self-assessment, peer feedback and evolving clarity of purpose.
(f)	Refine original compositions by polishing language, improving coherence, fine-tuning transitions, clarifying key ideas, and aligning form and tone precisely to purpose and audience.
(g)	Revise titles in original compositions to align with purpose and genre and enhance the audience's engagement or interpretation.
(h)	Finalize original compositions for the intended audience, considering how final design, medium, and presentation choices impact meaning, accessibility and emotional resonance.
(i)	Reflect on feedback and creative intentions to determine which suggestions enhance clarity, strengthen purpose, or improve audience impact, and make intentional decisions about what to revise, retain, or reject based on creative vision.
(j)	Revise recursively by revisiting ideas, structure and techniques at multiple stages to refine meaning and expression over time.
