Collaborate with others to generate ideas, organize and revise original compositions, contributing ideas and feedback to improve clarity, effectiveness and impact.

Indicators for this outcome

(a)	Generate and build ideas with various brainstorming strategies (e.g., mentor-text inspired exercises, low-stakes compositions tasks, sketching) identifying possibilities for genre, voice, or structure.
(b)	Provide thoughtful, question-driven feedback that highlights strengths, identifies gaps and invites deeper thinking about clarity, nuance or artistic intention.
(c)	Engage in conferences to discuss creative choices, offering specific suggestions about structure, language, tone, multimodal integration or genre alignment to strengthen the logical flow and impact of original compositions.
(d)	Experiment with peer-suggested feedback (e.g., altering genre, reworking perspective, shifting modality), documenting changes and analyzing how revisions improve meaning and overall effectiveness of compositions.
(e)	Experiment with new techniques or structures suggested through dialogue (e.g., trying a different opening move, adjusting pacing, reordering sections) to strengthen personal compositions.
(f)	Reflect on how giving and receiving feedback shapes understanding and informs decisions or goals for future compositions.
(g)	Collaborate with others to generate and refine ideas for individual compositions (written, oral, visual, multimodal), expanding possibilities for audience engagement, genre exploration and clarity of purpose (see Appendix J).
(h)	Revise compositions collaboratively by incorporating techniques from mentor texts (e.g., leads, transitions, repetition), reflecting on how these choices enhance clarity or audience engagement.
(i)	Provide focused, constructive feedback (e.g., noting confusions, emotions and curiosities) to others on ways to enhance clarity, effectiveness, emotional impact or coherence in their original compositions.
